What Makes a CPO Vehicle Certified?
It meets our strict eligibility requirements.
Not just any vehicle qualifies to be Certified Pre-Owned. To be considered, Mercedes-Benz Retailers must ensure vehicles meet following requirements:
- Less than 6 years old
- Less than 75,000 miles
- Serviced according to schedule
- Includes a CARFAX® Vehicle History Report
It passes a 165+ point inspection.
Performed by our technicians, the vehicle inspection starts with the exterior, making sure the structure and appearance meet our standards. It continues inside with a full review of the finishes, seat belts, flooring and more.
Next, the inner workings of the vehicle are evaluated. Components like the electrical systems, engine, fluids, filters and transmission are thoroughly checked. Our technicians ensure that the tires are Mercedes-Benz approved, and all recall campaigns and standard services are performed before it’s ready for the road.

The best way to judge a vehicle is to get behind the wheel. Here, our Mercedes-Benz Authorizied Technicians evaluate the performance of the steering, brakes, suspension, drive shaft and overall ride quality. The Certified Pre-Owned Limited Warranty
Coverage You Can Trust for Up to Five Years
Every Certified Pre-Owned Mercedes-Benz is backed by the remaining 4-year/50,000-mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty. Once that expires, the Certified Pre-Owned Limited Warranty goes into effect, providing an additional 12-months of coverage with unlimited miles. From there, owners can purchase a Certified Pre-Owned Extended Limited Warranty for one or two years with unlimited miles, so you can drive with total confidence.
